Audrey & Serghei

Audrey & Serghei had one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever photographed.  They were married in the morning at the LDS temple; which is where Scott and I were married almost 9 years ago.  I was feeling a little sentimental as I shot there. Following the formals at the temple, we headed over to the LDS Bearspaw chapel.  There is a beautiful park area and pond right behind the church where they had lawn games like croquet and boche ball. They also had some thirst quenching lemonade and tasty popcorn. After the games they had a lunch time reception, which was beautifully decorated by the maid of honour who also happens to be a wedding coordinator. It seriously took my breath away when I walked in! After a reception full of tears and love we headed out for some more formals. It was an amazing day, thank you so much for having me!

Audrey was not only gorgeous in her dress but she is really fun. I had to include a couple of funny photos of her and her bridesmaid, Chelsey (whom I grew up with!). These pictures kill me!

Instead of Bouquets, the bridesmaids had these cute clutches that Kalia made.

Nikole - THIS WEDDING IS AMAZING!!!! That reception hall was gorgeous. The bridal party is adorable and this couple is beautiful.

Someone’s cute nephew

This is my nephew, Dexter Charles. When I was a teenager, my top boys name for  when I someday would have babies was Dexter (along with the names Howie and Chester). Well I didn’t end up using it, but at least the name is in the family. This is my youngest sister’s baby and these were taken when he was three weeks old. Also I bought him the adorable matching blankie and hat.

Beth and Mike

When I looked at the forecast for Beth and Mike’s wedding I saw 93% chance of rain and a rainfall warning for the county. I e-mailed Beth suggesting back-up indoor locations. She e-mailed back “let’s not count out the weather yet!” That’s what I love, an optimistic bride!  Their ceremony took place in her Mothers back yard, just outside of Rocky Mountain House. The property was perfect for formals as well. It rained off and on the whole day. Just before the ceremony, there was quite the downpour. Guests helped wipe off the chairs. It was nice to see friends and family pull together to help make the day go smoothly. Then there was a big break of no rain for the ceremony. The sun even came out for part of the ceremony!  Beth and Mike were so great to work with. Beth has the most contagious smile, as you can see from the photos.  Thanks for having me!

Thaylia Fenc - Hello Chelsey!

I’m Michael’s Mom and Beth’s now Mother-in-law. I’m impressed with the photo’s you posted – action, backdrops etc. I for one was really concerned about the weather for the ceremony. It was meant to take place there – the rain pausing at the time the ceremony was to take place, the black clouds all around the site of the ceremony and then the sun breaking through just around the time the vows were exchanged!
You really captured how Michael & Beth were feeling on their wedding day.

Thanks for a job well-done!

Best Earrings in the World

I just had to share the worlds most amazing earnings. I bought these on etsy.  I have an addiction to buying fabric buttonn earrings off etsy. But these took the cake for the best I’ve ever bought. I know I’m admitting how geeky I am by showing you these. But it’s true, I have always been a geek. I even saw Avengers twice. I never see movies more than once. (unless it’s Lord of the Rings, then I see it three times in theatre!) I live in a house full of boys (and one man) who love Avengers, so of course I didn’t want to feel left out. I even bought these really amazing glasses for Scott’s den. Let’s be honest, I kind of bought them for myself. I love looking at them. They  are too precious to drink from.
